Poros Academy is a China‑focused international student service platform. As a third‑party service provider, we connect global learners with Chinese higher education institutions and create trusted pathways for international students to pursue studies in China. The name Poros comes from Plato’s Symposium. Son of Metis, the goddess of wisdom, Poros stands for resources, pathways and opportunities — representing our mission to break boundaries and open routes for academic growth.
We view international education as a medium for inter‑civilisational learning and idea exchange, helping global students develop global mindsets. Our core mission is to deliver dependable study pathways in China for international learners. Moving away from superficial, traffic‑oriented matching, we work through long‑term partnerships with Chinese universities to deliver practical, student‑centred services.
We provide two core services: personalised one‑on‑one application consultancy and referrals to our partner university programmes. Our offerings include accredited degree programmes covering China’s top 10% disciplines, plus non‑degree programmes such as Chinese language courses. Many overseas applicants find China’s admission rules and application information difficult to navigate. Drawing on our university network, we evaluate each applicant’s background and goals, match them with official programmes, and offer guidance on application planning, documents and progress tracking.
We also support partner Chinese universities by screening qualified candidates and referring suitable international students for their existing programmes. This helps universities expand their global outreach, enrich campus diversity and achieve sustainable international enrolment.
Guided by rigorous and pragmatic standards, we rely on formal university partnerships to coordinate resources and deliver procedural support. Committed to responsible, long‑term value rather than short‑term gains, we build reliable educational bridges between global talent and Chinese universities, supporting inbound student mobility and the high‑quality internationalisation of Chinese higher education.
